Build by prompting
Start from the free template and describe your idea in plain words. The LLM scaffolds the tools, you test them in the playground, then deploy in one click.
MCPDot is a hosted MCP engine with a marketplace built in. Describe what you want, an LLM helps you build it, we run it — then anyone can plug it into Claude, ChatGPT, or Cursor and just prompt.

The product
An MCP (Model Context Protocol) server gives an LLM real tools — checking a speed, pulling today's briefing, building the presentation you asked for. MCPDot hosts that server for you, so there's nothing to run at home.
Start from the free template and describe your idea in plain words. The LLM scaffolds the tools, you test them in the playground, then deploy in one click.
Your MCP lives on our engine, isolated in its own sandbox. It sleeps when idle and wakes the moment it's called — that's how thousands of MCPs share one fleet.
Copy one URL into your AI app and start prompting. Every call is counted against your plan, so usage is never a surprise.
Capabilities
Everything on MCPDot is one of these: build it, share it, improve it together, or sell it. The engine and the call limits sit underneath all four.
Free accounts get the starter template and LLM-assisted building — describe the tool, get a working MCP. Premium unlocks the full Building Toolkit: visual tool editor, test chat, version history, and a secrets vault for API keys.
FREE TEMPLATE → PREMIUM TOOLKIT
Send one friend a link and they can use your MCP inside a chat dialogue on the site — they never see your code. How many times they can call it is set by us, so sharing never runs up your bill.
Premium groups share the MCP itself — editing, testing, and improving it together with roles and a change log. Starts at 2 people; add seats as the group grows.
Post your MCP to the marketplace at your price — one-time or monthly. Buyers connect it to their own LLM. You keep 75% of every sale; payouts run through Stripe Connect.

Why an MCP, not a blank prompt
Yes — an LLM can build you a dashboard as HTML and you can host it yourself. An MCP gets you there in one short prompt: less for the LLM to generate, a layout that's already right, and data that's live every time you ask.
The do-it-yourself route — it works, but you pay for it in tokens, time, and fixes.
The MCP already holds the tools and the presentation. You just ask.
From scratch, the LLM spends tokens generating full HTML, CSS, and JS — plus you spend them first on a long layout spec. With an MCP, the prompt is short and the reply is compact JSON data that fills a layout the LLM already knows. Fewer tokens in, fewer tokens out.
A blank prompt gets you a generic first draft, then rounds of fixing colors, spacing, and broken charts. An MCP starts from a curated, tested layout — designed once, proven by everyone who uses it, with the right data wired into the right places from the first answer.
The MCP isn't the final answer — it's a working v1 you improve with follow-up prompts. Each tweak reuses the same tools and the same live data, so you're editing one piece instead of rebuilding the whole page.
"Make MSTR bigger, add the halving countdown"
One tool call returns the live numbers — no guessing, no web-search detours — and the pre-designed presentation turns them into a dashboard-like answer on the spot. Faster to ask, faster to read, and better looking than a fresh invention every time.
Marketplace
Browse what other builders have posted, read the tools and example prompts, and connect one to your LLM in about a minute. Free or paid — every connection carries a clear call limit.

Your account
The user-level page is your home base: what you've built, what you've connected, what friends shared with you, how many calls you have left, and what your MCPs have earned.
Build & collaborate
Free gets you building from a template. Premium turns building into a craft — and lets a small group improve one MCP together instead of passing files around.
Everything between "idea" and "listed in the marketplace," in one workspace.
A group shares the MCP itself — not just the output. Everyone edits the same live server, with roles so nothing gets overwritten.
Accounts & pricing
We don't limit Free on features — we limit it on usage. Build something real first; upgrade when the calls, the group, or the sales show up.

About us
Every useful tool we built ended the same way: a nice web page on GitHub that an LLM couldn't actually use. The speed checker, the briefing, the chess puzzles, the earnings engine — all of them were one MCP server away from being tools any AI could call.
So we're building the missing layer: one engine that hosts MCPs, one marketplace that distributes them, and one account that ties together what you build, buy, share, and sell. GitHub is where code lives. MCPDot is where MCPs live — running, callable, and earning.
We start lean on purpose: MCPs sleep when idle and wake on call, so the platform's cost follows real usage, not the number of builders who signed up.
Questions
MCP (Model Context Protocol) is the open standard that lets an LLM call real tools — run a speed test, fetch today's briefing, extract a number from a filing. An "MCP" on MCPDot is a small hosted server exposing those tools. You connect it to your AI app once, then just prompt in plain language.
Any client that speaks MCP over remote HTTP: Claude, ChatGPT, Muse, Cursor, Windsurf, and a growing list. You copy one URL from your account page, paste it into your app's MCP settings, and the tools appear.
Every plan and every connection has a monthly call allowance — 100/month on Free, 5,000/month on Premium, and a set allowance on each marketplace MCP. A friend you share with gets their own allowance (50/month) that we control, so their usage never drains yours. Usage is always visible on your account page, and extra calls are $5 per 1,000 if you ever need them.
Sharing is one-to-one and use-only: your friend chats with your MCP on the site but can't see or change how it's built. Collaborating (Premium) shares the MCP itself with a small group — editing, testing, versioning, and improving it together. Groups start at 2 people; each extra seat is $5/month.
Set your price when you post — one-time or monthly. Buyers pay through Stripe; you keep 75% of every sale and MCPDot takes 25% for hosting, the engine, and distribution. Payouts go to your bank through Stripe Connect.
Yes. Premium accounts can keep MCPs unlisted — visible only to you, your group, or friends you've shared a link with. Nothing is posted to the marketplace unless you publish it, and paid listings go through a review step before they go public.
